Icon of The Seas features unveiled

Royal Caribbean have started to unveil features of their new ship Icon of The Seas. Icon will be the first ship in the Icon class. She is due to start sailing from Miami in January 2024. The 7,600 capacity ship will be 9 feet longer than Wonder of the seas the 5th Oasis class ship. As well as being longer she will also be 2 decks taller.

Thrill island water park will have 6 water slides one which will have family water rafts.

Icon will have 8 neighbourhoods including a new family space Surfside. In Thrill island guests can experience the biggest water park at sea. The ship will feature the lines first swim up bar called Swim & Tonic and an infinity pool suspended 130 ft above the ocean.

Icon of the seas will have 28 different room categories including a new family stateroom called the ultimate family townhouse which can sleep up to 8 people.

Staterooms on board will include 179 suites. There will be 1,815 balcony cabins, 276 Oceanview cabins and 535 inside cabins. Of all the cabins 82% will accommodate3 or more guests.

There are 5 dry slides (including 1 in the Ultimate family townhouse) and 9 water slides across the ship , customers can get to the surfside area of the ship via a dry slide from central park. Cloud17 is a new adult only area on icon.

Icon will initially sail 7 day Caribbean cruises from Miami ports of call include Cozumel in Mexico, St Maarten and Roatan in Honduras with all cruises calling at Royal Caribbeans private island Perfect day at Cococay.
